Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Blindan Dember, our luxury offline poker lounge and grill restaurant in Australia, uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience and to comply with Australian privacy laws. When you explore our card room, Texas Hold'em tournaments, dining, VIP high roller lounge, or booking options online, we may store or access certain information on your device using cookies to keep the website secure, responsive, and easy to use.
We are committed to maintaining a premium yet privacy-conscious environment that reflects the same care and attention to detail you experience at our offline poker tables.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored on your device by your browser when you visit websites. They are widely used to remember your preferences, enable secure logins, and gather insights into how a site is used so that it can be improved over time.
On the Blindan Dember website, cookies help us:
- Remember essential details you enter into booking and enquiry forms
- Maintain a secure connection while you navigate pages such as Poker, Dining, VIP, and Contact Us
- Understand how visitors browse our offline poker information, tournament schedules, chip stack descriptions, and dining menus so we can refine layout, clarity, and performance
Types of Cookies Used
We keep our use of cookies deliberately limited and focused on operational needs. We use the following categories of cookies on this website:
- Strictly necessary cookies for essential website functions, such as keeping your session active while you review offline poker events, book a poker table, or submit a reservation enquiry.
- Performance and analytics cookies that are anonymised and used only to understand traffic patterns, page responsiveness, and device types so that we can optimise the experience for Australian guests and international visitors.
We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural profiling cookies, or third-party tracking cookies on this site.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the website to function correctly. Without these cookies, core features of the Blindan Dember site cannot operate as intended.
These cookies are typically set in response to actions you take on the site, such as:
- Opening and submitting booking or enquiry forms for poker tables, tournaments, or dining reservations
- Navigating between key sections like our offline card room overview, Texas Hold'em tournament schedule, Pot-Limit Omaha events, dining menus, and VIP high roller lounge information
- Maintaining secure connectivity while you move between the Poker, FAQ, and Contact Us pages
Because these cookies are required for the site to operate safely and reliably, you cannot fully opt out of them through our website. However, you can control or delete them via your browser settings, as outlined below.
Performance and Analytics Cookies
We use anonymised performance and analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Blindan Dember website. These cookies help us monitor traffic patterns and refine the journey from discovering our offline poker tables and blind structures through to confirming a reservation.
The information collected through these cookies is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors. We do not store personal names, contact details, financial information, or any data tied to specific chip stacks, buy-in values, or tournament registrations within these cookies.
We use this anonymised data to:
- Improve page speed, particularly on mobile devices
- Identify which sections (for example, poker formats, blind structure explanations, dining menu, or high roller lounge) are most frequently visited
- Ensure that key actions, such as viewing Texas Hold'em tournaments or reading house rules, remain clear and accessible
Cookie Duration
Cookies used on the Blindan Dember website may be either session cookies or persistent cookies:
- Session cookies: Temporary cookies that exist only while your browser is open. They support secure navigation between pages, basic card room browsing, and form submissions. These cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a set duration or until you delete them. They may be used to remember your basic preferences, such as cookie consent choices, so that you enjoy a smoother experience the next time you explore our offline poker offerings, tournament information, or dining options.
The specific duration of each cookie depends on its purpose and the configuration of your browser or device.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Most modern browsers allow you to manage, control, or delete cookies through their settings or preferences menus. You can usually choose to:
- Block all cookies
- Block cookies from specific websites
- Delete existing cookies stored on your device
- Receive notifications when a website wants to set a cookie
If you decide to disable or restrict certain cookies, please note that some features of the Blindan Dember website may not work as intended. For example, booking a poker table, registering your interest in a Texas Hold'em tournament, or submitting a dining reservation enquiry may become less seamless, and secure sections of the site may not function properly.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the help documentation for your browser or device.
Third-Party Cookies
Our website does not use third-party tracking cookies, social media sharing cookies, or any cookies associated with advertising networks. We have designed the Blindan Dember online experience to focus on accurate information about our offline poker tables, tournaments, chip structures, dining options, and high roller lounge without external tracking overlays.
All cookies used on this site are set and managed by us or by carefully selected service providers acting on our instructions for operational and performance purposes only. They exist solely to support site functionality, security, and experience improvements.
Legal Compliance
Our Cookie Policy is crafted in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act and relevant local regulations governing electronic privacy, information stewardship, and responsible data practices. We regularly review our use of cookies and similar technologies to ensure that they remain appropriate for supporting secure bookings and premium user experience without unnecessary data collection.
Any future changes to our cookie practices will be reflected in this policy, and where required, we will seek your consent or provide additional notice in line with applicable Australian legal requirements.
