1. Terms and Conditions Overview

These Terms and Conditions set out the key venue requirements and expectations that apply to all guests, visitors, club members and invitees of Blindan Dember. They apply to your use of the offline poker card room, poker tables, Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-limit Omaha events, high roller lounge, dining and bar services, and any other facilities or experiences we provide on site.

The purpose of these Terms is to support a safe, sophisticated and fair offline poker environment in which chip stacks, blind structure, dealer procedures and tournament rules are applied consistently. They also outline how we manage bookings, protect your privacy, and communicate our responsibilities and limitations as a premium poker lounge and grill restaurant.

By accessing our site, entering the physical venue, registering for any offline poker tournament or using our dining or support services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, along with any specific house rules, policies or notices displayed at the club or published on related pages such as our FAQ, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

2. Acceptance of Venue Rules

By entering Blindan Dember, taking a seat at any poker table, visiting the high roller lounge, or ordering dining or bar services, you agree to comply with all venue rules and procedures as determined by management and our professional dealers.

Venue rules include, but are not limited to, card room etiquette, seat allocation processes, buy-in registration for offline poker tournaments, chip handling expectations, and adherence to all instructions given by dealers, floor staff and management personnel. Additional rules may be displayed at the registration desk, at individual poker tables or within the FAQ & House Rules section.

Management retains the right, at its sole discretion, to interpret and apply the venue rules in the interests of maintaining a fair, enjoyable and secure environment for all guests. Failure to follow reasonable directions, or any behaviour inconsistent with venue expectations, may result in warnings, tournament disqualification, relocation within the card room or removal from the premises.

3. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

Blindan Dember operates as a strictly 18+ offline poker club and dining venue. Entry to the card room, poker tables, high roller lounge and bar areas is only permitted to guests who are at least 18 years of age at the time of attendance.

Acceptable proof of age and identification (such as a current passport, Australian driver's licence or equivalent photo identification recognised under Australian law) may be requested upon entry, when registering for a tournament, or at any time during your visit. Guests who are unable or unwilling to provide satisfactory proof of age may be refused entry or asked to leave the premises.

By attending the venue, you warrant that you meet the minimum age requirement and that any information you provide in relation to your identity, contact details or eligibility is accurate and complete. Management reserves the right to restrict access to certain events or areas, such as the VIP high roller lounge, based on additional eligibility criteria including dress code, reservation status and capacity limits.

4. Responsible Conduct and Behaviour

All guests are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly while at Blindan Dember. This includes interacting courteously with dealers, floor staff, waitstaff and fellow players, and preserving the refined atmosphere of the card room and dining spaces.

You agree to follow all dealer instructions in relation to card handling, chip movements, betting sequences, blind progression, table changes and tournament procedures. Conversations, phone use and movement around the poker tables must not interfere with live cards in play or distract other players.

Abusive language, harassment, aggressive conduct, collusion, card marking, chip tampering, or any other behaviour that undermines the integrity of offline poker play is strictly prohibited. Management may, at its discretion, issue warnings, pause or end a hand, relocate a player, adjust chip stacks based on clear rulings, or ask individuals to leave the venue to protect the safety and enjoyment of others.

5. Tournament Participation Terms

All Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-limit Omaha events and mixed-format series at Blindan Dember are conducted as offline, social club tournaments using chips and tournament points only. No cash or monetary prizes are awarded. Leaderboard standings, trophies, experiences or other non-monetary recognition may be used to celebrate performance within our card room.

By registering for a tournament, you agree to the published buy-in structure (in chips or entry credits), starting chip stacks, blind structure, level duration, late registration rules, table balancing procedures and any event-specific conditions detailed on our Poker page or at the registration desk. Once a tournament has commenced, decisions made by the tournament director and dealers regarding rulings, misdeals, chip counts, seating, and enforcement of house rules are final.

Each participant is responsible for safeguarding their chip stacks and maintaining clear visibility of their chips at all times. Chips and tournament points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or external benefits. Unused seats, missed blinds, or absence from the poker table may result in automatic blind deductions or elimination in accordance with the tournament rules.

6. Dining, Bookings & Reservations

Reservations for poker tables, high roller lounge seating, group events and dining experiences at Blindan Dember are subject to availability and operational requirements. We aim to honour all confirmed booking times, however actual seating may vary slightly based on table turnover, tournament progress and venue capacity.

When you make a reservation via the Contact Us page, by phone or in person, you agree to provide accurate contact details, party size information and any special requests that may affect seating or service. Management may request a confirmation or re-confirmation of larger bookings or VIP lounge requests, and reserves the right to adjust, combine or reallocate tables to accommodate both card room and restaurant demand.

No-shows, significant late arrivals or reductions in group size without notice may affect your access to particular poker tables, the tournament schedule or specific dining experiences. In some cases, deposits or pre-authorisations may be requested for special events, tasting menus or exclusive poker nights, in line with Australian consumer law. Any such conditions will be clearly explained at the time of booking.

7. Privacy and Data Handling

Blindan Dember is committed to protecting guest privacy and handling personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This applies to all information you provide when making reservations, joining mailing lists, submitting tournament enquiries or communicating with us online or in person.

Personal information such as your name, contact details, booking history and preferences is collected for the purpose of managing reservations, tailoring your card room and dining experience, confirming tournament registrations, and keeping you informed about relevant offline poker events and promotions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blindan Dember, its owners, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense suffered or incurred by guests arising out of or in connection with their attendance at the venue, participation in offline poker tournaments or use of any facilities, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach of non-excludable statutory guarantees.

You acknowledge that offline poker, movement around the card room, consumption of food and beverages, and participation in social events each carry inherent risks. You are responsible for your own conduct, health and safety, and for ensuring that your participation is appropriate to your personal circumstances. You must immediately notify staff of any incident, injury or concern so that appropriate assistance can be provided.

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Blindan Dember is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property, including chips, cards, mobile devices, clothing or accessories, unless required by law. Nothing in these Terms seeks to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Policy Updates

Blindan Dember may review and update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in venue operations, improvements to our offline poker offering, or amendments to relevant Australian laws and regulations. Any updated version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Your continued use of the website, attendance at the venue, registration for tournaments or participation in card room activities after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any updated Terms, you should discontinue using our services and contact us if you have outstanding reservations or queries.

We encourage guests to check this page regularly and to review related policies, including the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, so that you remain informed about how we operate the club, high roller lounge, dining room and associated services.

11. Compliance and Responsible Gaming Statement

Blindan Dember is operated as a boutique dining venue and social offline poker club under relevant Australian laws and licensing requirements. All offline poker activity at the venue, including Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-limit Omaha events and VIP high roller lounge series, is conducted strictly as social club tournament play using chips and tournament points only.

There are no cash payouts, real-money wagering or monetary betting permitted on the premises. Chip stacks, buy-in amounts (expressed in chips or entry credits), blind structure, tournament levels and leaderboard points are used solely to manage gameplay within the card room environment, determine chip leaders, identify finalists and celebrate performance through non-monetary recognition.

We actively promote responsible gaming and encourage guests to treat offline poker as a social, entertainment-focused experience. If we observe behaviour that suggests distress, excessive play, impaired judgement or any breach of venue rules, management may intervene, including by pausing participation, removing a guest from a poker table, limiting entry to future tournaments, or requesting that a guest leave the premises.

If you have questions about these Terms and Conditions, offline poker eligibility, our house rules or responsible gaming initiatives, please contact the team via the Contact Us page or discuss your query with a floor manager while at the venue.
