FAQ & House Rules for Blindan Dember

Blindan Dember is a modern, luxury Australian poker lounge and grill dedicated to the art of offline poker. Every hand is dealt at physical poker tables, with real ceramic chip stacks, tactile cards, and live dealers. There are no online terminals or digital poker interfaces on the floor—just genuine card room energy, atmospheric lighting and cinematic design.

Our venue combines a dedicated offline card room with a boutique restaurant and craft bar. Guests move between deep-structured Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-Limit Omaha tables and a premium dining space featuring dry-aged steaks, savoury charcuterie and smoked cocktails.

Our card room specialises in offline poker formats played on full-size poker tables with professional dealers. Core games include:

• No-Limit Texas Hold'em – our signature game, featuring deep chip stacks and refined blind structures.
• Pot-Limit Omaha – curated events for players who enjoy four-card strategy and complex pot dynamics.
• Bounty-style tournaments – tournaments where designated players are tagged with bounty chips, contributing extra points when eliminated.

All games are fully offline: physical cards, live dealing and in-person table reads only.

Each offline tournament has a clearly advertised entry fee. Your entry converts into a structured tournament chip stack used solely for gameplay and leaderboard scoring. For example, a standard event may begin with 25,000 or 40,000 tournament chips, depending on the blind structure and format.

These chips are never redeemable for cash or financial value. They exist to track your progress, determine chip leader positions and establish final rankings within the event under our social club tournament framework.

Yes. Blindan Dember is as much a boutique restaurant and bar as it is an offline card room. You are welcome to book a table purely for dinner, cocktails or dessert without taking part in any Texas Hold'em tournaments or table play.

Our grill features premium Australian produce, including dry-aged wagyu, charcuterie boards and refined late-night plates designed to complement the energy of the poker room. Many guests choose to enjoy the dining room first, then wander over to watch the tournament action from the rail.

No. While we do host structured offline Texas Hold'em tournaments and Pot-Limit Omaha events for seasoned players, Blindan Dember is intentionally welcoming to learners and casual guests.

On designated social nights, we run beginner-friendly tables with slower blind structures, clear explanations and a relaxed pace. Our professional dealers are trained to offer guidance on betting rounds, chip handling and table etiquette without disrupting the flow of play.

Walk-ins are welcome, and we keep a number of seats available for same-evening arrivals. However, popular offline Texas Hold'em tournaments, Pot-Limit Omaha events and high roller lounge experiences often reach capacity.

To secure your seat and preferred blind structure, we strongly recommend pre-registering for tournaments or requesting a reserved seat at specific poker tables. You can do this by submitting a booking request via our Contact Us page.

Blindan Dember is a strictly 18+ venue. All guests, whether joining offline poker tournaments, enjoying the high roller lounge or dining in the restaurant, must present valid photo identification on arrival. This policy is applied uniformly in line with Australian legal requirements and our own commitment to responsible entertainment.

Blindan Dember follows established international card room etiquette to protect the integrity of every hand:

• Act in turn and keep your cards above the felt and visible at all times.
• Avoid discussing live hands or folded holdings while play is in progress.
• Place chips across the betting line in a single, clear motion.
• Treat dealers and fellow guests with courtesy and respect at all times.
• Use mobile phones away from the table rail to maintain focus on the live game.

Our dealers and floor staff are available to clarify any rule as needed.
